The Wynn hotel in Las Vegas isn’t just a favorite spot for vacationing royals looking to blow off steam. According to a new survey by extra-marital dating site AshleyMadison.com, would-be adulterers also prefer to check in to Steve Wynn’s high end haunt when they’re looking to have affairs. Of 7,680 US members surveyed, more than half (53%) admitted to cheating in a Vegas hotel, with nearly a fourth of those expressing a penchant for the Wynn, placing it as the most popular place in Las Vegas for a discreet rendezvous. The Palms Hotel and the MGM Grand rounded out the top three choices. See below for the complete list of Las Vegas hotels where they really need to change the sheets more often.
Top Five Las Vegas Hotels for extra-marital hookups:
1) The Wynn – 24%
2) Palms Hotel -18%
3) MGM Grand -13%
4) Caesar’s Palace -12%
5) The Bellagio – 9%
According to Noel Biderman, AshleyMadison.com’s founder & CEO, certain hotels have developed a reputation for being hotbeds of marital malfeasance. “The Las Vegas tourism in no small part depends on adultery in order to fill all those hotel rooms. Many Las Vegas businesses make more than half of their profits off affair clientele – not just rooms, but lavish room service orders tend to accompany most steamy affairs – so they’re more than happy to turn the other cheek when guests check in under an alias with someone who isn’t their spouse.”
Forty-six percent of those surveyed admitted to staying in Sin City for multiple days with their affair partner, with 35% staying for 1 night, and only 14% for less than half a day.
Interestingly, the survey also revealed Las Vegas residents looking to pursue affairs don’t necessarily share the same high-end tastes as those who fly in specifically to meet up with their affair partner. Of the respondents who call Sin City home, many preferred hooking up at older hotels including Stratosphere, Circus Circus, and Treasure Island, to name a few.
